The isolation poem

The isolation poem

Don’t feel like reading? Listen to me read the poem.

COVID19 is here to stay
SO from people we keep away
Isolation
Isolation

When you really want to roam
But you’re stuck bored at home
Isolation
Isolation

When your kids begin to whine
You know it’s time for more screen time
Isolation
Isolation

When you think your life’s a mess
Then you check out the US
Isolation
Isolation

When you listen to Trump preach
Then inject yourself with bleach
Isolation
Isolation

As we see the death tolls rise
Please sort out the truth from lies
Isolation
Isolation

You know you’re in big trouble
Choosing which friends are in your bubble
Isolation
Isolation

When for work you get prepared
But end up working from bed
Isolation
Isolation

When all your meetings are on zoom
You have to pick the right room
Isolation
Isolation

When you are bored and want to cry
Remember, you’ve got WIFI!
Isolation
Isolation

When your wardrobe gets a glance
But you end up in sweat pants
Isolation
Isolation

Need an excuse to drink alone?
Just pick up the bloody phone!
Isolation
Isolation

As the virus spreads across the globe
All hail the germaphobes
Isolation
Isolation

When deciding what’s essential
The West made loo paper preferential
Isolation
Isolation

For social distancing tear jerkers
Spare a thought for our health workers
Isolation
Isolation

When you really crave connection
But all you get is introspection
Isolation
Isolation

For those who’re stuck away from home
At the wrong time they chose to roam
Isolation
Isolation

When you’re bored and cannot leave
It’s time to binge watch lots of teev
Isolation
Isolation

When you’re hungry but not sure
Your fridge always wins the war
Isolation
Isolation

If there’s other people in your plans
Just wash your bloody hands
Isolation
Isolation

If you’re feeling kind of lonely
Help’s a call away only
Isolation
Isolation

If you’re starting to feel sick
Quarantine, don’t be a dick
Isolation
Isolation

If you feel like you’re not coping
You’ll reach out, we all are hoping
Isolation
Isolation

You can’t eat at restaurants
So you become cooking savants
Isolation
Isolation

If you’re stuck at home not moving
You’ve got to get your body grooving
Isolation
Isolation

You might keep funny hours
But please don’t forget to shower
Isolation
Isolation

If you’re missing rocking out with friends
Do it online instead
Isolation
Isolation

When you’re feeling like a mug
Because you really want a hug
Isolation
Isolation

When you’re isolating with others
Their weird traits you will discover
Isolation
Isolation

Then when you start nesting
Your DIY skills will be tested
Isolation
Isolation

If someone might be feeling grim
Please make sure you check in
Isolation
Isolation

If you’re feeling like you’re cursed
Someone ALWAYS has it worse
Isolation
Isolation

When you’re bored as bored can be
Find your creativity
Isolation
Isolation

If your partner makes you cranky
Why not try some hanky panky?
Isolation
Isolation

When your housemates act like poo
Remember they’re suffering too
Isolation
Isolation

Go on and gripe and moan*
Just stay the fuck at home
Isolation
Isolation

The End
